All Council Board Members have years of experience and are respected by peers and colleagues alike. All board members actively work or participate in a related industry and give their time willingly.

Sean has been a RIMAS Governing Council Member since 2007 and elected as President in 2013.

 

He has been involved in risk management, asset management and internal audit in power and oil & gas industries since 1997. His risk management experience includes establishment of risk management functions, development and implementation of ERM framework and processes for various companies both local and overseas. Prior to this, he held various leadership positions from Superintendent to Director in ship management and marine consultancy companies in Hong Kong. 

 

Sean holds a Master in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical and Marine Engineering. He obtained the status of a Chartered Engineer (UK) in 1996 and Certified Lead Auditor in QMS in 2000.

Daniel has been elected as RIMAS Council member since 2011 and is currently the 2nd Vice-President of RIMAS. He is presently an Assistant Vice-President in the Enterprise-wide Risk Management (ERM) Office with MediaCorp Pte Ltd.

 

Daniel has more than 12 years of experience in risk management in both the public and private sector domains. In his previous public sector capacities, he worked as an Intelligence Analyst with the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and in Strategic Planning with the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) where he was actively involved in threat assessments and horizon scanning.

 

In the private sector arena, Daniel currently spearheads the ERM programme in MediaCorp in terms of formulating quantitative/qualitative risk assessments of operational and strategic risks organization-wide, implementing the ERM framework, developing its ‘Risk Academy’, managing the General Insurance programme as well as formulating threat scenario action plans. Before rejoining MediaCorp in 2009, he was with one of the ‘Big 4’ auditing firm’s risk advisory arm helping various private and public sector clients across diverse industries to identify and assess key risks while developing appropriate ERM frameworks to address them.

 

Daniel graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Social Science (2nd Upper Hons) in Political Science. He recently graduated with a MSc Innovation (Dean’s List) in July 2014 from the Singapore Management University under a Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA)-MediaCorp Scholarship .

 

He is a Certified Enterprise Risk Manager (CERM) and Certified Professional Risk Manager (CPRM) designated by the Asian Risk Management Institute (ARiMI). He also obtained a Business Continuity Certified Planner (BCCP) designation awarded by the Business Continuity Management Institute.

 

Daniel was appointed by SPRING Singapore in April 2014 as the Convenor of the National Working Group on Risk Management & Compliance at the National level to help shape relevant management standards development. He was also Singapore’s official delegate to the 4th Global ISO meeting in France in March 2013 to help develop an international standard for risk management implementation.

He is currently the Deputy Director of Risk Management Office for a Singapore regional health care system.  Roland previously heads the Enterprise Risk Management Department in one of the largest Indonesian paper & pulp group which operates the world's largest integrated paper mill. 

 

One of his key achievements was leading the launch of the Singapore government’s National Business Continuity Management Programme (NBCMP) in 2008 as the Director of Singapore Business Federation (Singapore apex business chamber). The NBCMP is a world’s first support programme, with S$30m funding for companies to manage their risk and the flu pandemic during 2008-2009. Within the first year 50 outreach events to more than 7,000 participants and 5,000 firms were organised.

 

Roland has held key positions in medium and large corporations of multi-industry environment (with businesses in Asia, India and the Middle East) since 1995, specializing in enterprise risk, business continuity, credit management and training & development. 

 

He is also an active member of various international, regional and local risk management professional communities.  

 

Roland is an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) with Disaster Recovery International Institute-USA, a certified trainer with Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) from the Workplace Development Authority of Singapore and a Certified Credit Manager (CCM) from Singapore Association of Credit Management.

Henry is the Founder and Managing Director of BCP Asia. He is also the Regional Director for Business Continuity Institute Asia. Having been in the business continuity profession for more than 17 years, he has been actively contributing to the industry’s wider understanding in business continuity.

 

Henry earned his academic degree at the University of Essex (UK) where he majored in Electronics Systems Engineering with first class honours. He is currently a professionally certified FBCI and CBCP by the two well-renowned institutions – the Business Continuity Institute, UK and Disaster Recovery Institute International, US. Henry is the Regional Director of BCI (Asia) since 2008 and he was the first Asian to serve as a BCI Board Member in 2006. In contributing to the business continuity industry, was involved in setting up the BCM Standards: Singapore Standard SS540:2008, British Standard BS25999:2007, ASIS, SS507 and ISO22301. He was officially appointed as the BCM Auditor for SPRING Singapore and various certification bodies. Henry was also the founding member of the Business Continuity Group (BCG) and advisor for the China BCM Committee (CBCM).

 

Henry is active on the conference circuit as well as organizing and conducting training in the area of Business Continuity, Business Impact Analysis, Risk Analysis, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management. In his over 15 years of experience, he has implemented more than 100 projects and trained more than 5,000 professionals in business continuity management. During his career, Henry had successfully activated the recovery plans for strikes, Y2K, 911, SARS and H1N1. Prior to this, Henry held two senior positions in two international banks namely ABN Amro and JP Morgan Chase where he started his BCM career.

 

Apart from training, Henry has executed many consultancy projects for companies in the Banking, Information Technology, Shipping, Electronics, Airline, Transportation, Telecommunication and Semiconductor industries from around Asia namely Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Middle East.

 

In BCP Asia’s journey of BCM programme leading to certification, Henry chaired the BCM Steering Committee. Under his drive and supervision, BCP Asia achieved dual BCM Certifications in BS25999-2:2007 and SS540:2008.

Chuen Fei has more than 12 years’ experience driving Enterprise Risk Management as Vice President (Operations Development and Risk Management) at ST Marine (2009-2014), and as Vice President (Risk Management) at ST Engineering (2004-2008). 

 

Chuen Fei was awarded the Standards Partners Merit Award in 2013 by SPRING Singapore for his representing the ISO31000 Risk Management Working Group in ISO and his contribution in ISO31000 International Standard.

 

Prior to early retirement in July 2014, he was Vice President (Business Excellence and Risk Management) responsible for certification to SS540:2008 BCM and ISO22301:2012. Other Management Systems under Chuen Fei’s responsibility at ST Marine was achieving certification to ISO14001 for Environment, ISO14064 for Green House Gas (first company in Singapore), Singapore Environment Achievement Award and Business Excellence Service Class.

 

Chuen Fei started Flow Enterprise Inc Pte Ltd in August 2014 to provide Consultancy Services and Training in Enterprise Risk Management, Project Risk Management, Fraud Risk Management, Business Continuity Management ISO22301, and Environment Management ISO14001. He obtained WDA’s ACTA certificate (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment - new version) in December 2014.

 

Chuen Fei holds a Master of Science (Management of Technology) and a Master of Science (Industrial Engineering)  from National University of Singpaore (NUS), Graduate Diploma Business Administration  from Singapore Institute of Management (SIM),  Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from University of Singapore. Dr Roy Rimington was the president of RIMAS from 2010 to 2012. He has held senior management positions for over 20 years in major electrical, electronic, and automotive international companies in the United Kingdom and East Asia such as Lucas Industries, the General Electric Company, Tatung Co(Taiwan) and Siemens Telecommunications. He has a wide range of experience in the areas of quality, business excellence, Manufacture, service, military, security, education and the public sectors. He has over 16 years of full-time working experience in the Singapore Public Service, and is a Singapore Citizen. 

 

Dr Rimington, is Member of Singapore Working Group in development of ISO 31000 Risk Management Standard and guide 73, and member of the Management Systems Standards Committee (MSSC) - coordinated by SPRING Singapore. Also, Exco Member of the Singapore Quality Institute(SQI), and Chairman of the Public Relations Committee.

Christopher has been a RIMAS Governing Council Member since 2014. He is involved in the development and implementation of risk management program for a healthcare institution. He also coordinates the disease outbreak response efforts for his organization.

Andeed has been elected as Risk and Insurance Management Association of Singapore (RIMAS) Council member in 2014. He is presently involved in technical training and business development works for a Global MNC - ServiceNow Inc. in South East Asia regions.

 

Performing the role as Chairman to a Information Technology (IT) Committee for RIMAS, Andeed participates actively in proposing IT-Risk related topics for members, planning and executing Social Media Marketing, Website Revamp and Blog for RIMAS.  

 

As a graduate from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Building, Andeed started out his career in Building Construction Authority (BCA) and several other highly hazardous industries, while pursuing his degree. One such project is the world’s biggest underground depot, Kim Chuan Depot, for housing trains catering to Circle Line and Downtown Line.

 

Andeed has also involved in Offshore Civil Engineering, Demolition and marine maintenance projects in Major Oil & Gas companies. It was during this period, Andeed joined RIMAS in 2010 as an ordinary member through a Business Continuity event.

 

Being an IT-aligned Business Manager has led Andeed into his obtainment of a Graduate Diploma in IT Services (Database Management). His present role in ServiceNow revolves around educating the use of emerging technologies in Service Management leveraging on IT Best Practices such as Incident Management, Crisis Management, IT Governance, Risk and Compliance (IT GRC), Enterprise Risk Management and more to bring people and process closer together.

Ms Ng Hwee Hong has been elected as RIMAS Council member since 1999. In the past, she held other positions within the Association as Honorary Secretary, President and 1st Vice President.

 

Hwee Hong has been working in the areas of captive insurance management and risk management for more than 20 years. During which, she has acted as principal officer of the captive insurance companies under her management and was responsible for the efficient performance of the captives’ operations as well as all aspects of local regulatory compliance.

 

She has experience in conducting captive feasibility studies and compiling reinsurance submissions, board papers, budgets and cash-flow statements for the captive insurance companies under management. Hwee Hong has also been involved in the administration of global and local insurance programmes on behalf of clients throughout the region and acts as a liaison between underwriters, insurance brokers and clients. 

 

She holds an Associate in Risk Management designation from the Insurance Institute of America.

Dennis Lee is now the Chief Risk Officer of NUS. Jeffrey has more than 9 years of Enterprise Risk Management experience in both the healthcare and education industry. Prior to his involvement in Enterprise Risk Management, he has had vast experience in the areas of corporate banking and regional business analysis. Jeffrey is currently a board member of StrategicRisk magazine (Asia-Pacific). StrategicRISK is a leading information brand providing risk and corporate governance news and insight to national, regional and multinational corporations across Europe, Middle East, and Asia.  Jeffrey is both a certified Enterprise-wide Risk Manager from the Asia Risk Management Institute (ARiMI) and a certified Business Continuity Expert from the Business Continuity Management Institute of Singapore (BCMI). He has also been interviewed and consulted for his opinions and views pertaining to risk management by risk related publications.

Jeffrey graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Banking and Finance from the University of London. During his free time, he serves as a volunteer with one of the largest Animal Shelter in Singapore, Animal Lovers League. He is also a certified practitioner in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) with the Singapore Emergency Responder Academy.
