Wealth Risk Chapter
The Wealth Risk chapter demonstrates an organizational commitment toward how managing wealth can be relevant to any organization and/or individual.

The Wealth Risk Chapter is the first of its kind to be set up in RIMAS.

The activities of the chapter will be organizing workshops, and seminars to promote the concept of Wealth risk management, responsibility, and leadership among our members of the association.

Wealth risk, and the benefits thereof, are better understood and many large companies now have personnel who are specially assigned wealth risk duties. Some companies have established wealth risk divisions to provide wealth risk services to their clients.

There is a bright future for risk management practitioners as the benefits of sound wealth risk strategies become increasingly recognized throughout the business community.

Mr. Alson Boo, Founder and Managing Director of Wealth Growth Consultancy Pte Ltd since 2009 (FAA license with MAS) , Alson has been an active participant in the security and alternative investment industry for more than 18 years and I am also acting as a risk and compliance officer and Business Development. I am also an agile coach, sustainable consultant, and a lead auditor for ISO14001, ISO27001, and ISO9001. I began my banking career in 2006 with Standard Chartered Bank as a Business Development Manager. In this role, I served in several capacities and eventually developed a cadre of high net-worth investors and UHNWI, families offices to whom I introduced both public and private investment opportunities in the intermediate arena.
In 2008, I furthered my career by joining the Bank of East Asia, serving investors in a similar capacity. My tenure with Standard Chartered and Bank of East Asia provided an invaluable training ground in which I successfully learned the skills necessary for identifying quality “ institutional-type products” and requisitely, developing the tools and skills necessary for raising capital that would be invested in several asset classes such as real estate, and oil and gas. Additionally, I expanded my fundraising capabilities to include institutional fixed income at the syndication level.
In 2009, I resigned from my position with the Bank of East Asia and proceeded into a consulting role while working closely with several institutional investors, including a private Swiss family office. It was at this point I’ve career acquired extensive knowledge and understanding of alternative investment strategies.
Lastly, in 2012 my role will be focusing on structure trade products, fintech payment system, managing account and systems development, marketing and sales training, compliance and supervision of brokerage/investment advisory activities, as well as coordination of hiring and long-range strategic planning and growth of the firm.
My ultimate goal by founding Wealth Growth Consultancy Pte Ltd, a professional Commodity Trading Advisor and a guaranteed client adviser. The depth of knowledge and experience gained in managing the brokerage and marketing of alternative investment trading products will provide me with the ability to position Wealth Growth with a unique perspective that will turn into a marketing advantage on behalf of the talented trading managers with whom Wealth Growth had engaged and introduced to my institutional investment relationships.
On one hand, I have been an agile coach, lead auditor, and sustainable consultant since 2016. As a consultant, I help my customers to manage and lead their people by using different frameworks, principles, techniques, and constellations to meet the company's vision, objectives, and goals. Writing sustainable reporting using GRI and IFRS S1 and S1. Whereby my auditing skills and coaching knowledge help to expand their customer base in Asia.
Now I am developing and creating more impact investing for my clients and investors in China, Hong Kong, the UK, Kenya, and Southeast Asia. Creating sustainable-linked bonds and impact-linked bonds for my investors and clients across some industries.
Examples oil and gas, marine, education, logistics, infrastructure, energy, agriculture, aquaculture, and a few others.
I added value by creating policies and guidelines to streamline their EMS and QMS systems. (Environment and quality management system). So that they are in alignment with the ESG/SDG framework. On one hand, I also integrate their financial reporting with GRI reports which bring in more values and impact to the community and build a ECO community environment.
