Evening Talk by Oh Tai Beng on Risk Management - A Proactive Approach to Accident Prevention

" In 2005, the Ministry of Manpower unveiled a new occupational health and safety framework to make possible a quantum leap in safety and health performance at the workplace. The underpinning principle behind the new framework is to eliminate and mitigate saftey and health risks at source.

An excellent risk management programme has been recognised as an integral constituent of sound safety management systems. It not only  facilitates the process of identifying, analysing , and managing workplace safety and health hazards, it also functions as an effective mean to safeguard against accident incidence and minimize accident costs"
